The music that Andy Summers makes cannot be categorized within one genre. It is a unique, personal musical expression with influences of jazz, classical, world music, rock ‘n roll and pop. His status as a guitar legend is based on experiments with both instinctive and composed sounds. His experience, improvisation technique, compositions and his ability to step outside standard musical conventions ensure that his performances are of a high level.
During Andy Summers’ one-time Dutch solo concert in PLT, projections of his photographic work from the exhibition A Certain Strangeness will be on display in the Bonnefanten Museum Maastricht. The concert thus acts as a performance for the exhibition.
